Join Us for Stirred2Serve on August 19th, 2012
The aim of Stirred2Serve is to rally people together to passionately serve the needs in our
community and also to inspire a heart of passionate service in others.
We believe that people find a greater purpose through serving but lack the resources and initiative they
need to act on their desires.
Our goal is to fill that gap by organizing events that:
- Reach out to groups and entities with economic need.
- Utilize individuals' unique gifts and skills
- Engage our youth and families in time together
- Have a community-wide impact and influence in Crystal Lake and greater McHenry Co.
- Excite people and exponentially spread and inspire (stir) a heart of passionate service in others.
Working together with individuals, youth, families, schools, businesses, non-profits, and religious organizations we have the potential to make a major impact in our communities, improve people's lives, and promote business.
About Stirred2Serve:
Stirred2Serve is an initiatve that was first envisioned at First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake and inspired by other community service initiatives around the country. A heart for service grew among church members who helped build homes in Mississippi for victims of Hurricane Katrina and others who witnessed the success of outreach organizations that rally entire communities together for service.
